Your kidding right? First and Foremost let me say I LUV DIPSET! Always have! I give Jim and Juelz plenty of credit for there own success. I just dont agree with the decision they made that ultimately ruined dipset! (we all know what that decison was)

As far as Jim Jones..

Like I said most of his appeal was being the underdog and being a good soldier...When that changed so did his appeal.

Along with Juelz Santana. EVERYONE liked HUMBLE santana. He's attractive talented and all the above. But the ARROGANCE is what hurt him. His appeal was also his loyalty to cam and being a strong soldier. When that changed...so did his appeal to the fans. Get It?

As for Camron..

Its the total opposite... Most of his appeal was being, well...A HOT MESS! Being grossly arrogant and ridiculously over the top. Like WTF is wrong witht his guys. But it was entertaining. Like he had money...did and said stupid stuff but didnt care.That was his appeal, being wild and over the top. But having strong forces along side of him.

But that too CHANGED! With cams most recent project he grew up in the media. His wasnt that same arrogant clown with the big fur coat and a blunt hanging out his mouth spitting non sense. And as much as people try to act as if they hated him for that. THAT WAS HIS APPEAL! And when that changed so did the appeal.

Just like Cam'ron said they all worked hard to be where they are. I agree too. Some people (maybe all of them) got a lil too arrogant and made bad decisons and because of that this is where they stand.

Also...let me quote Juelz Santana recently... "I put 70-80% of the bricks in that building!" WTF? That alone shows u he's still clueless as to his postion,relevance and appeal to the dipset fans.Thats the kind of shit MzBrittanyLUV rails against..Not only is it completely false in eye sight of the fans its disrespectful to the other members who worked they asses off for the brand..

@ East Harlem: When I Say Big...I Mean Big As In "Commercial". Dipset Was BIG! Im sure Cam'ron WANTED them to be big. But not COMMERCIAL! A lable can be big and luved WITHOUT being generic and commercial as fuck! And dipset was living proof of that and I think thats what the fans liked.
If the members werent satisfied and couldnt see what they were then whos fault is that?Certain member should have known there fans would be hurt by seeing them on stage with 50cent. But clearly they didnt care. They just saw dollars. So dont get mad when there is a backlash.Fans have been more than supportive..

I DONT agree with everything Cam'ron does...NOR did I give hi all the credit if you would have read my post. Im learning a lil more about the business and growing up and realizing that at a lable you cannot give all the credit to ONE PERSON! However, if someone fails you cant place all the blame on one person!! I feel as though they were ALL Givin the same opportunity as Juelz to sime extent. If they werent as successful as Juelz Santana then it just wasnt meant to be.

Of course you can blame cam, hes in control. But the artist and the other team of people are responsible too. One person DOES NOT RUN EVERYTHING! Thats the point I was trying to make! I was not just agreeing with everything cam'ron does.

Jayz artist DO complain about him!! Kanye West did in big brother but he found another way the channel those negative feelings he had about Jayz. Kanye was DAMES artist! Peedi Crackk complained about Jayz and even dissed him. Go on you tube now and you will see Oschino and Ommillio sparks interview complaining about how Jayz used them and no one even has his phone number. THEY ALL COMPLAINED!! The only one who did is bleek and I can respect that.

The only difference is they werent dumb enough to get mad at him and go on stage with his enimie and embarrass him and themselves!

50cents artist have complained about Him...Buck, Game and Lloyd Banks is even rumored to have issues with him. Though he's not dumb enough to diss him publically. They ALL have had issues with there bosses.

Maybe some issues more extreme than others...But lets please not act like Cam'ron is the only one who had issues as a boss with his employees.

Honestly, I think Cam markets his artists to his best ability. He only has limited marketing himself so I don't think their is too much more to expect. No shade. It's all a matter of budget and how hard the artist is willing to go themselves. So, because I don't know what the budget looks like or whatever else I really can't say he isn't going hard enough. However, like any other dipset fan I would like to see these dipset artist get some more shine.

yeah I agree with Brit & Dip. Cam is a good record label founder & CEO. Diplomat Records was a success whether people think so or not. the numbers speak for themselves.

of course brittany love agrees with camron she agrees with everything he does.

i will agree that cam did put juelz on oh boy and he didnt have to.

you giving duke credit but you never really give jim and juelz credit for the work they put in.

I think its cool the way he markets his artist for two reason..

1. He puts on a lot of people and puts them all over his own music. Meaning sometimes he allows them to outshine him and he isnt selfish, or a glory hog. As soon as cam'ron had an artist (when dipset was in its hay day) they immediately became a household name.
-Unlike some lable heads who put there artist out, but give them minimum play and never allow them to outshine them. (for example) Jayz...He would hop on Memphis Bleeks songs and humiliate him. You would totally foget it was Memphis Bleeks song, or album because it became another "Jayz" thing..

So as far as the way he markets them I think its cool

#2. He allows his artist TO BE THEMSELVES! People dont understand how manufactured these artist ad there singles are. Cam'ron has an artist and they develop there OWN style. They dont have to look and rap like cam. And all his artist werent the same and he wasnt constantly coming out and hogging the spotlight. They all had they time to shine. The same opportunity. (From the outside looking in it appears that way at least) If they became successful, or not is on them..Cause they made the music THEY wanted and had the style THEY wanted.

-They werent thrown together, or forced into being a group not really knowing each other, or being cool like State Property was. They later said themselves that group was all smoke and mirrors.Half of them didnt even like each other.lol

-Not saying Dipset wasnt the same on some levels..But they all had there own identity and fanbase. Even the A&R sold records. What other lable can say that?

I think Dipset is cool or what it is...Could it have been bigger? Maybe, but cam didnt want that obviously. He wanted it to stay close to the street and not to commercial and we cant get mad at his decision to stay low key and not be one of those groups.They had there own style, slang and were still household names WITHOUT being all over t.v and commercial. Clearly there was and is something powerful about dipset.And they way they were marketed. Started with a bomb street team. And all the lil things count too.

Like all the work a person like duke da go puts in. Rather it be pressing up c.ds, making millions of tshirts. Thats all branding and trademarking. It gave them a great look. The "eagle" was a great thing to see on a shirt. NOW like cam said you go in stores and see eagles everywhere. Thats started with them i think. So the way the managed to be on top and so well known, but lowkey at the same time was done well.

BUT...ALL THAT CREDIT DOES NOT GO TO CAM'RON!!!!! EVERYONE HAS AN IMPORTANT PART OF NETWORKING, MARKETING AND BRANDING!! CAM'RON IS THE BOSS...BUT DUKE DA GOD AND DUKE PRODUCTIONS WAS A BIG BIG PART OF THAT AND DESERVES THE RECOGNITION.A MAN IS ONLY AS GOOD AS HIS TEAM! CAM'RON HAD A TEAM OF HARDWORKING PEOPLE AROUND HIM THAT LUVED DIPSET AND PUT THERE HEARTS INTO THE LONG, TEDIOUS, HARD ANNOYING THINGS THAT BOSSES DONT ALWAYS LIKE TO DO.
DONT UNDER ESTIMATE THE IMPORTANCE OF A DUKE DA GOD, HARVE PIERRE @ BAD BOY, DAME DASH AND JAY-Z UNDER BOSSES AT THE ROC, @ GUNIT...ECT ECT
