Dude singing on the hook can't sing. That's not Max' voice. It's not a sample. It's Skitzo singing like six words. Is it hard to believe that Skitzo came up with like six words and screamed it out?

Jim didn't give Cam any samples, they don't talk.

@dipnigga1 they would have said in the credits "contains sampled vocals from "Song X" by Max B, Courtesy of amalgam digital and byrdgang records.

Whomever wrote it didn't really come up with anything clever, I don't know what the big deal is. I'm pretty sure Skitzo wrote and sings the hook however. In my opinion it doesn't even sound like something that Max would have wrote. It's just the way that he's singing that reminds people of Max.

Camron makes good songs to me. I mean that is why I listen to him, I don't really listen to him for his lyrics. My brother does though. I didn't like 50's last two albums at all. I don't hate 50 so I'm not being biased neither. Out of both albums the only songs I like are Roller Coaster, Window Shopper and Somebody's Gonna Die Tonight. I don't even like Ryder's Music and that seems to be every bodies favorite song. So 50 doesn't make good songs in my opinion.

don't know how y'all got side-tracked from the topic at hand, but I'll leave a quick quote from the man himself

"I'm a business man, I ain't tryin' to be lyrical" - Cam "Let Me Know"

Also Cam isn't all that good of a song-writer.Cam has hooks that are good and some that are really bad.Thing about it is, I know Cam played a big part in Diplomatic Immunity turning out good as it was.Because Jim Jones did really good on that album & Juelz was too. Idk what happened with "From Me To U", I didn't like that at album aside from couple of songs. Cam'ron is a very good rapper, but not all very good artist.Like Cam is very good when it comes to dissing rappers because that focuses a lot on being lyrical & flow.

@ Maxb was a big part of Jim Jones being as succesful as he was..

    AGREED!

I just have one question... who the fuck wrote "Summer With Miami"??? That was a fire clever ass song. Its no way Jimmy wrote that. Who write that? rofl. Thats when I was like Okay...Jim Jones is nice. That song is what did it for me. Its no way he wrote that. Or did he? Does anyone know?

Max B is a very good song-writer and I think he's very underrated lyrically.Max B obviously made hook on "You Gotta Love It" and that hook was dope.Thing about it is, Max is fresh with his music, and switches up to make his music sound fresh instead of dull.Like 50 cent music sounds very dull right now and bland, 50 music sounds very forced instead of it coming naturally he's trying to force the hardcore in his music and his flow. Max B was brought too Dipset not only for hooks, to write and help assemble Byrdgang, which he did do.Max was big part of Jim being successful as he was.

Also... Some people are delusional (not necessarily on this message board) but in general as to what song writing is. Now, BEYONCE' is a perfect example of this. Read this clearly.

In the music industry people put there names on the song writing credits for the accolades and the publishing. A person like Beyonce' who prides herself on writing her music is not really a songwriter. Let me explain... Song writers may send in a song with a concept and lyrics already written to it. The singer may arrange a word and put a ooohhh, ahhh arrange the harmony, or melody and SLAP there names on the credits and say, HEY... I wrote this song and take writing credits for it. OR the other way around. Someone may put an ohhh, ahhh...arrange the hook or melody and DEMAND they be givin credit for it, even though they simply tweeked the song. Its about politics and money basically.

Maxb I believe was in a situation where JIM has total writes over Maxb vocals. Meaning he cannot be on a song if jim doesnt sign off for his vocals to be released which is why maxb never made anything but a mixtape. And honestly...if jim wanted to really be an asshole he could have gotten paid of that too. (real talk) cause he owns maxb vocals. (According to Jim)

So Maxb is perfectly in his writes to say "I've ghostwrtten for Cam'ron, or Jim", but the general public (50cent lingo...lol) has to realize that, that is a very big statement that can have several different meanings to it.However... "I have ghostwritten for Cam'ron and Jim Jones."Souds much better on a resume, or to simple people who dont know any better.

Just like a Job offers a postion as "Lead in Customer Service"..nice way to say "Cashier".lol

    ~Good Day~

Wrote HOOKS: He wrote HOOKS...Thats why he was broung on board to dipset. to write hooks. Hes good at that. However, when Maxb left he proved that he could make great songs too.Skitzo wrote the cookies and applejuice hook too. Cam'ron is not good with writing hooks. As I said before, if u look back at his best songs or most wek known songs there is NO HOOK.too funny Just beat. like I really Mean It. Purple Haze the song. Or he may have a singer on the hook, Oh Boy had no hook. Freekey Zekey was a hook writer too. Freekey Zekey wrote and was sayinf Hey Ma on the hay ma song. That was Zeeks hook. Killa Cam on purple haze album = no hook. Cam'ron just raps/rhymes. Hes not a hook person. And hes never claimed to be. Im his biggest fan and can admitt that. Thats what I always said to the desluional 50cent stans who say he can rap better than camron cause like like his songs and understand his songs better.

50cent is an excellent song writer. Anyone will tell you that. Hes good at making street concepts a song for everyone. He appeals to the masses and has better songs than cam'ron. But he isnt a better lyricist or rapper. His word play just aint fierce enough. (in my opinion) Thats the difference I always try to emphasize.Even though Im notorious for hating on 50cent cause I just hate HIM! too funny I can admitt..50cent is much more musical than Cam'ron. But hes not as original, or a better lyricist. (In my opnion)

So when they say "ghost write" for someone it can have a lot of meanings to it. But someones manager is going to make it seem as huge as possible to uplift there artist. Maxb has ghostwritten HOOKS for people on dipset. But Cam'ron has ghostwritten totally for other rappers before as well. One being Lil' Kim...Its all apart of the game. Some rappers are lyrical, but not musical. (Cam'ron) Some rappers are really musical, but not extremely lyrical. (Maxb) Some rappers are very musical and semi lyrical.(50cent)

(Of course I know people bout to try and say im only defending cam blah blah blah...IM NOT! Thats my honest unbiased opinion. Okay?) rofl

Well, Cam and Skitzo are the only two singing on Gotta It For Cheap. I think someone just edited that in because there was a rumor that the chorus was a Max sample, but it's actually dude singing.

Someone mentioned that the only thing Max B wrote for Cam was the hook to You Gotta Love It.
